Step right up to our legendary neighborhood brunch: Every Saturday, Sunday, and on holidays from 10:00 AM, you can enjoy a delicious and varied breakfast brunch with your loved ones – right in the heart of Berlin-Friedrichshain, accompanied by live music. In nice weather, we also invite you to our summer garden. Important Information: Reservations for up to 6 people are granted for a duration of 2.5 hours, as the tables are reserved again afterward. With a total of 25 meters in length, our brunch buffet is one of the most varied in all of Berlin. A large selection of cold dishes awaits you, as well as daily changing, seasonal hot dishes – of course also with many vegetarian and vegan options.
Be sure to save some room for our homemade cakes, fine desserts, and the freshly baked waffles & pancakes from our live cooking station.
Your brunch will be accompanied by atmospheric live music by artists from Berlin, creating a true weekend feeling.

When does the brunch take place and how much does it cost?
Our neighbourhood brunch with live music and a live-cooking waffle station takes place on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. We normally brunch from 10 am to 3 pm. There are currently no Saturdays on which the brunch ends early. The regular brunch costs €29.90 for adults and €14.90 for children aged 4 to 12. Participation in the brunch buffet is mandatory. Drinks are not included in the brunch price. On the Advent weekends of 28 and 29 November, 5 and 6 December, 12 and 13 December and 19 and 20 December 2026, the price is €32.90 for adults and €14.90 for children, including a sparkling wine reception. On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, 25 and 26 December 2026, the brunch costs €34.90 for adults and €14.90 for children, including a sparkling wine reception. The Alte Turnhalle is closed on 1 January 2027.
What can I expect at the brunch and which drinks are available?
You can expect a 25-meter-long buffet with cold and warm dishes, breakfast classics, bread, cheese, cold cuts, spreads, salads, seasonal dishes, cakes, and desserts. At our live cooking station, we prepare fresh waffles and pancakes. Rotating musicians from Berlin accompany the brunch live. Drinks are not included in the brunch price and must be ordered separately. Are there vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options available?
Yes. Our buffet offers a large vegetarian selection as well as various vegan dishes, spreads, and plant-based alternatives. Individual dishes are gluten-free or lactose-free. Since we operate with an open buffet, we cannot completely rule out cross-contact. Please inform us of any allergies or severe intolerances in advance and also speak to our team on site.
Can I make a reservation for the summer garden?
Yes, for our reservations, a credit card hold or the use of Apple Pay is required. This helps us to quickly release tables in the event of a no-show and make them available to other guests. If you do not have a credit card, you can alternatively book via Apple Pay or through a friend with a credit card.
For brunch reservations, we hold €10 per person on your credit card 3 days in advance, which is only retained in the event of a late cancellation or no-show (the amount is not considered booked).
On site, payment can then be made using any method of payment.
How long is my table reserved for, and what happens if I am running late?
Table reservations for up to six people are allocated for 2.5 hours, as the tables are subsequently reserved again. Please arrive on time and in full no later than 15 minutes after the reserved time. After that, the reservation expires. We reserve the right to reallocate unoccupied seats.

Where do parties of one or two sit?
Brunch reservations for one or two people are automatically placed on our gallery. The gallery is only accessible via stairs and is not barrier-free. We do not regularly offer tables for two on the ground floor.
If you require a table on the ground floor for health or organizational reasons, please write to us in advance by email at info@alte-turnhalle-berlin.de. We can only check placement based on availability.
Do I need a credit card for the reservation?
Yes. A credit card must be provided or Apple Pay used for the reservation. Anyone who does not have their own credit card can complete the reservation via Apple Pay or with the help of another person with a credit card. Three days before the brunch, €10 per person will be reserved on the credit card. The amount will not be debited. It will only be withheld in the event of late cancellation or non-attendance. On site, you can pay with any payment method accepted by us.
How can I change or cancel my reservation?
Up to 24 hours before the appointment, you can adjust or cancel your reservation via the confirmation email. You can find the corresponding function at the bottom of the email.

Can I add more people or select a specific table?
Depending on available capacity, the number of people for an existing reservation can be adjusted. Please write to us as early as possible at info@alte-turnhalle-berlin.de. We cannot guarantee additional seats on site. Even separate reservations cannot automatically be placed at a shared table. You cannot select a specific table with binding certainty. Table allocation depends on group size, capacity utilization, and daily planning. You can state your wishes when making the reservation. We will try to take them into account, but we cannot guarantee them.
Can I buy vouchers for the Alte Turnhalle and redeem them at brunch?
